(WALEWALE) WEST MAMPRUSI :Philanthropist donates to five orphanages
A Ghanaian philanthropist based in the United States of America (USA), has donated assorted items to five orphanages in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region.

A Ghanaian philanthropist based in the United States of America (USA), has donated assorted items to five orphanages in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region.
The items, which comprised napkins, new and used clothing’s, and foot wares, were donated to the Wulugu Orphanage Foundation Mission, Guabuliga Children’s Home, Arigu Children’s Home, Wuti Orphanage and Teepahigu Children’s Home.
The donation, facilitated by the Northern Regional Coordinator of Student and Youth Travel Organisation (SYTO), Mr Abdul Razak Ben Salifu was made possible through friends and co-workers of the philanthropist from Bermunda Island.
The philanthropist, who wanted to remain anonymous, is a nurse based in the USA promised to make the donation an annual affair to support the upkeep and welfare of the children in the orphanages.
The Director of the Wulugu Orphanage, Pastor John Akonyami thanked the philanthropist and all who made the donation possible for their kind gesture and promised to put the items to good use.
He appealed to other well meaning individuals to come to the assistance of the orphanages, which he said were community managed and therefore were facing a lot of difficulties.
