DCE urges CPA to carry out their duties with professionalism

The Community Policing Assistants (CPA) module, a part of the YEA program, aims to train selected youth to assist the Ghana Police Service in enforcing law and maintaining community order, serving as liaisons between the police and the communities.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Mr. Abubakar Sedik, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly graduated Community Policing Assistants (CPAs) in the district.

Following their successful completion of training, Mr. Sedik commended the officers for their discipline, commitment, readiness to serve their communities

He emphasized their crucial role in supporting the Ghana Police Service to bolster security at the grassroots level.

The DCE underscored the importance of community policing as a vital tool for crime prevention, maintaining peace and order.

He highlighted the critical need for collaboration between security agencies and local communities. "As policing assistants, you serve as the vital link between the police and the community. Your presence will not only deter crime but also instill confidence in our residents, reinforcing that their safety is a top priority," Mr. Sedik stated.

The DCE urged the assistants to carry out their duties with professionalism, respect for human rights, dedication to service and also assured them of the Assembly’s unwavering support in their duties.
