The committees were formed during the Special Assembly Meeting held purposely for the formation of the committees at the Assembly’s conference Hall.

The formation of sub-committees is part of Assembly’s functions responsible for collating and deliberating on issues as its responsibility to assist the Municipal Assembly in its deliberative, legislative and executive functions and submit recommendations to the Executive Committee for action.

The statutory committees constituted were, Finance and Administration sub-committee led by Hon. Moro Musah, Justice and Security sub-committee Hon. Jibrine Jalil, Development Planning sub-committee Hon. Charles Abu, Works sub-committee Hon. Charles Doe, Social Service sub - committee Hon. Barnabas Peprah, Mines and Environment sub- committee Hon. Emmanuel Osei and Agric sub-committee to be chaired by Rev. Emmanuel Akotey.

Speaking at the meeting, the MCE charged all committee members to bring their expertise on board and exhibit service leadership by taking into consideration the overall needs of the electorates.

He was confident that the members would perform creditably to enhance the progress of the Municipality.
