Parent urged to Prioritise their Wards’ Education

The Municipal Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Pearl Patricia Ankrah has encouraged parents to invest more in their children's academic development to ultimately shape their lives and future careers to become responsible citizens.

Speaking at the maiden graduation ceremony of Adumakaasekese Methodist Primary "A" of KG pupils on promotion to Primary  level and those in Primary transiting to JHS at an event held on Thursday July 24, 2025 at the Methodist School Park, the DCE noted quality education could only be achieved if various stakeholders particularly, parents and teachers played their respective roles.She advised parents to give education the preeminence it deserves instead of spending lavishly on social activities such as funerals.

Hon. Ankrah emphasised that providing learning materials and other basic needs is a core responsibility of parents. According to her, such interventions significantly enhance children's motivation punctuality and school attendance which could inspire them to take their studies seriously. She called on the children to obey and honour their parents as well as their teachers in order to lengthening their days on earth.

The Krontihene of Adumakaase, Nana Yeboh Mensah who represented Adumakaasehene,commended the school authorities for the well organised event to showcase the potentials of the children stressing,in his 41 years as a traditional leader and  a past teacher he has  not encountered such occasion and lauded their efforts.

Nana reiterated the need for the children to obey their parents in line with biblical principles to inherit the earth.

Mr Stephen Adusei, the Headmaster of the school speaking under the theme,"Invest in your Children for future benefits ", highlighted on the major challenges facing the school including lack of computers, the renovation of the school blocks and lack of toilet facilities which required urgent attention.

Mr Adusei appealed to stakeholders, corporate bodies and the affluent to come to their aid.
