The Effutu legislature and patron of the association responded to a call from the students who were having difficulty in settling their fees when he presented the total sum of GHC105,000.00 to the students.

The Minority Leader at a brief ceremony to present the money to the beneficiaries in his office in parliament reminded the beneficiaries to remain true to the purpose of the support and not divert the money into other things.

"Don’t abuse this opportunity, and don’t let yourself down. Your success is not just for you but for the next generation you will inspire,”

According to him, he started similar support elsewhere, unfortunately some of the beneficiaries were abusing the support forcing him to abandon it.

He assured them of his readiness to open his doors anytime they seek for more support with the hope that they (students) will take their studies seriously.

Sharing his personal journey, Mr. Afenyo-Markin recounted his own struggles with financial hardship during his school days, which nearly hindered his academic pursuits and encouraged the students to stay resilient and steadfast in their academic pursuit despite the challenges.

Gideon Senator, President of VOSA was full of gratitude to the MP and described the support as “a great honour and blessing,” and assured that the funds would be used responsibly.
