Ahafo Ano South West DCE promises to improve health care facilities

The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly, Abubakar Sedik, has promised to improve on the existing CHIP Compounds in the district for the people to receive quality health care.

He said this when he led a team to Bonkwaso Nõ1 to inspect a private health facility that the Assembly wants to purchase and improve.

The DCE in an interview with the media said that, in the allocations of the District Assemblies Common Fund, every district assembly must construct at least two new CHPS compounds each year.

"We have decided to purchase a private health facility at Bonkwaso Nõ1 and build another CHIP Compound at Afresini Camp to augment the already existing facilities in the district" he said.

He added that the district can thrive when the people are strong and healthy.

According to the DCE, the Assembly will improve the facility with a laboratory and also rehabilitate the nurses quarters.

The team proceeded to Afresini Camp to inspect the site allocated for the construction of a CHIP Compound and also inspected the slaughter slab at Sikafrebogya.

Also among the team were, Paul Atsu Agebezudor, District Coordinating Director, Nana Kwaku Duah, District Finance Officer, Alexander Kello, District Works Engineer, Paul Kwasi Amegboe, special assistant to the DCE, Prince Oppong, Presiding Member, Michael Kwakye, District

Disease Control Officer, Leticia Yeboah, District Procurement Officer, Emmanuel Smart Amo, District Information Officer and Elliott, District Physical Planning Officer.
