According to him, the district this year recorded bumper harvest and is currently exporting plantain to Burkina Faso.

He said issues of complaints from farmers about activities of the Fulani herdsmen in district have reduced drastically due to some government interventions.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, after an earlier “meet the press” programme organized by the assembly at Agogo in the district, Mr Oti Boateng further assured the assembly’s readiness to give it greatest support in protecting the people.

He also emphasized on the success achieved in sectors such as health, education and sanitation as efforts to help maintain the socio-economic well being of the ordinary citizenry.

He said the assembly is putting measures to speed up the establishment of a new plantain floor factory under the One District One Factory to help reduce post harvest losses in the district.
