The commissioning ceremony was led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Abubakar Sedik. This vital project falls under the Rural Electrification Project, spearheaded by the Ministry of Energy.

During the commissioning, Mr. Sedik highlighted the transformative potential of this new access to electricity. He emphasized that it is expected to significantly improve both education and economic activities within these areas.

Residents were also advised to prioritize safety by engaging only qualified electricians for any electrical issues to prevent potential fire outbreaks.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Abubakar Sedik reassured the residents of the Ahafo Ano South West District that the district's electrification goal is comprehensive. He affirmed that every community in the district will have access to electricity by the close of 2028.

Members of the beneficiary communities expressed their profound gratitude.

They extended thanks to the Nana Addo-led administration for initiating the project and also acknowledged the John Dramani Mahama administration for seeing the project through to completion, bringing an end to years of darkness for their communities.
