The beneficiaries — Mercy Tunona and Abigail Owusu, both fashion designers, and Elizabeth Bio, a caterer — were presented with tools to support and grow their respective businesses. Mercy and Abigail each received two industrial sewing machines, while Elizabeth received a comprehensive catering set including an ice chest, cookware, stove, gas cylinder, frying pan, cast-iron cauldron, burner, and turner.
The support items were delivered by a team from HapaSpace, led by Ms. Naomi Kokuro.
The presentation was officially done by the Bekwai Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, with the support of the Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Samuel Andoh Armah, and the Community ICT Center Manager, Mr. Yaw Asante.
The DARE program aims to empower rural youth and women through digital skills and entrepreneurial support, bridging the economic and technological gap in underserved communities.
