According to the DCE, the road projects forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the district’s road network, enhance accessibility and address transportation challenges confronting residents and businesses.
Jerry Yao Ameko said improved road infrastructure was critical to the socio-economic development of Adaklu, particularly in facilitating the movement of people, agricultural produce and other goods between communities.
He explained that the ongoing works would improve connectivity between communities and provide better access to schools, health facilities, markets and other essential services.
The DCE noted that the Assembly would continue to engage relevant stakeholders and monitor the projects to ensure that contractors deliver quality work and adhere to agreed specifications.
He further emphasised the importance of good roads to the agricultural sector, indicating that improved road connectivity would make it easier for farmers to transport their produce to market centres and reduce transportation difficulties.
Residents have welcomed the ongoing road interventions, expressing hope that the completion of the projects would significantly improve mobility and contribute to economic activities across the district.
Jerry Yao Ameko reaffirmed the Adaklu District Assembly’s commitment to supporting the development of infrastructure that would improve living conditions and create an enabling environment for sustainable economic growth.
The ongoing reconstruction and bitumen surfacing projects are expected to strengthen the district’s road network and improve connectivity among communities when completed.
