Konongo area office of environmental protection authority honours outgoing head

Staff of the Konongo area office of the Environmental Protection Authority have honored their outgoing head Mr. Dawood Abbas at a ceremony in Konongo.

He was presented with gifts and a citation which read in part, “Under your guidance, the Konongo area office witnessed remarkable progress in environmental governance, stakeholder engagement and institutional development. Your visionary leadership, commitment to excellence and collaborative spirit significantly enhanced operational effectiveness and team cohesion.”

It continued “You championed sustainable environmental practices while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism and innovation within the office.”

The Ashanti regional director of the EPA Dr. Adiyah Jackson Nyantakyi commended Mr. Abbas for his leadership and dedication to duty and hoped he will bring these qualities to bear in his new office.

The outgoing head who now moves to lead the Kasoa area office in the Central region expressed his gratitude to the staff for their support and recognition and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.

Mr. Abbas is expected to bring his varied experience and passion for environmental conservation to his new role in furtherance to the mission of the EPA.

Friends and colleagues present had words of commendation for Mr. Abbas and wished him well in his new endeavor.

Present were Mr. Louis Kofi Agbozo the incoming head and Mr. Patrick Tampugre the municipal director of the National Commission for Civic Education.
