The District Chief Executive for Gomoa Central, Hackman Kobina Aidoo, joined the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Gomoa Central Constituency, Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, to officially cut the sod for the commencement of the projects at Gomoa Obuasi, Gomoa Beseadze and Gomoa Aboso.

The projects, funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), will each comprise six classrooms and modern toilet facilities to provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

Speaking during the ceremonies, Hon. Aidoo commended the Member of Parliament for facilitating the projects, describing the initiative as an important investment in the education and future of children in the district. He noted that the construction of the new classroom blocks would help address existing infrastructure challenges in the beneficiary communities, reduce pressure on available classroom facilities and improve access to quality education.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to supporting educational development through the provision of essential infrastructure and collaboration with key stakeholders to address the needs of schools across the district. The projects are expected to provide additional classroom space, improve the learning environment and offer pupils and teachers access to better sanitary facilities.

Residents and education stakeholders in the beneficiary communities welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the new facilities would ease overcrowding and create safer and more comfortable conditions for academic activities.

The collaboration between the District Assembly and the Member of Parliament highlights the importance of partnerships in addressing development challenges, particularly in the education sector.

The commencement of the three projects forms part of broader efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve learning conditions in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
