Police Arrest two Suspects for stealing and criminal Offenses in Sunyani

The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects Sulemana Adams alias ‘Zambia’, aged 32 and Fuseini Ibrahim, aged 18, charged with stealing and criminal offenses.

Suspect Sulemana Adams, 32 charged with Stealing and Causing Unlawful Damage to a staff of the Sunyani Municipal Hospital on August 10, 2025 at Baakoniaba, a suburb of Sunyani in the Bono Region.

The victim, an accountant of the Sunyani Municipal Hospital, had the rear door glass of his Toyota Highlander with registration number GE 9098-12 broken into. The suspect made away with one HP laptop belonging to the Hospital, a cash sum of about GHC 11,000.00, €800.00, an unspecified amount of Kenyan Shillings and

South African Rands as well as a power bank, an external drive and other personal effects.

According Police, intelligence gathered revealed the suspect Sulemana Adams alias Zambia was the brain behind the incident, and mounted 24-hour surveillance on him.

In a press release issued by the Public Relation Officer of the Bono Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah stated that an intelligence-led undercover operation conducted by a team from the Regional Police Intelligence Directorate (PID) led to the arrest of the suspect on at Kotokrom, a suburb of Sunyani.

It added that during interrogation the Suspect admitted having committed the offence. A search by the Police led to the retrieval of one Ash HP laptop, a cash amount of GHC10,710.00, €10.00, US$32.00, CFA2000.00, assorted quantities of foreign currency coins including Pence, Cedi, Euro and Pounds, one black external drive and a power bank, belonging to the complainant.

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting the investigation and the exhibits have been retained. Meanwhile suspect is being prepared to be put before court.

Suspect Fuseini Ibrahim, aged 18, on the other hand was arrested on 14th August 2025, following a report that three brand-new, unregistered Apsonic motor tricycles valued at GH?74, 000 had been stolen at Drobo and in connection with unlawful entry and stealing at Dumasua, a suburb of Sunyani in the Bono Region Acting swiftly on the report, Police circulated an alert to all barrier checkpoints and snap checkpoints.

Officers at the Dumasua barrier arrested Fuseini Ibrahim, while his accomplices, identified as Musa, Baba and Malik Mustapha managed to escape.

The stolen tricycles have been recovered and impounded.

Suspect Fuseini Ibrahim is currently in Police custody assisting investigations while efforts are underway to arrest the three remaining suspects who are on the run.
