The partnership, announced on May 20, 2026, is aimed at improving coordination between ECG and the Assembly to address issues affecting power distribution and ensure more reliable electricity for residents and businesses.

The collaboration forms part of broader efforts by ECG to strengthen its distribution network, reduce outages and improve service delivery to customers. The initiative is particularly significant for Tarkwa Nsuaem, where reliable electricity is essential to households, businesses and economic activities in the municipality.

ECG has also been implementing wider investments to improve power reliability across the country, including network reinforcement, transformer upgrades and other infrastructure interventions.

The collaboration between the two institutions is therefore expected to support improved power supply and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.
