Presenting the desks, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing a conducive learning environment for pupils and students.

He explained that the desks formed part of the first batch of an ongoing initiative, with additional supplies expected through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

As part of the initiative, the MCE also donated essential learning materials, including books, floor mats and toys, to a newly established kindergarten at Amoabeng.

He urged school authorities to adopt a proactive maintenance culture to ensure that the desks and other educational materials were properly maintained for long-term use.

Receiving the items, the Municipal Education Director, Nana Pokua, expressed gratitude to the government, the MCE and the Assembly for the support.

She noted that the donation would help ease the pressure on educational infrastructure and improve conditions for effective teaching and learning across the municipality.

Nana Pokua, together with the headteachers present, pledged to ensure the proper care and maintenance of the items to maximise their benefits to learners.
