Bono Police command launch “Operation Show of Force"

The Bono Police Commander has launched an “Operation Show of Force" in Sampa, Bono Region, to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining law and order.

ACP Mr. George Andrews Kumah, Deputy Regional Commander and, Operation personnel embarked on Operation Show of Force, parading through the principal streets of Sampa to reassure residents of maximum security in the area.

The exercise commenced at 0900 hours and concluded around 1030 hours, covering all major streets and routes in and around Sampa.

It was an exercise to reassure the public of their safety and the presence of robust security around them.

The Police is urging market women not to be afraid to visit the market, as their safety is assured.

This operation aims to restore calm and intensifying patrols and beef up security in Sampa and surrounding communities and to deter potential troublemakers and ensure public safety

In a release signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Command, noted the operation aims to reassure residents of their safety and prevent further escalation of the conflict

Police has also assured the public of conducting thorough patrols to monitor and control the situation

Security agencies will set up checkpoints to verify identities and inspect vehicles and motorists carrying weapons, offenders will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law and Police will engage with local leaders, youth groups, and stakeholders to promote peace and stability.
