The MCE said this when he and other Assembly officials embarked on a tour of the municipality to sensitize residents about the ‘Operation clean your frontage’ campaign.

The exercise, which started from Coca Cola round about through asphaltic Nnshornaa Beach Drive and ended up at the Nungua Transport Terminal brought together Chiefs and People of Nungua including the Clan Houses, the Police, the Clergy, the Muslim Community, Management and Staff of KroMA, Assembly members, Market men and women, transport Unions, Youth Groups, Nadmo, Zoomlion Staff, YEA, PWD, the Ghana Ambulance and Fire Service, the business Community as well as identifiable groups.

Speaking at a gathering, the MCE noted that there is an operational Legislative Instrument (LI) that would serve as a legal framework for the Operation Clean Your Frontage policy, saying that authorities would not relent to enforce the LI to ensure that residents adhere to the requirements of the program.

He hinted that it is the vision of President Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make Greater Accra the Cleanest City in West Africa; hence the relentless effort of the Regional Minister to ensure that the vision is operationalized through the campaign.
