The delegation was received by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid, who highlighted the district's investment potential in cereal processing, irrigation agriculture, livestock production, waste recycling and the hospitality sector.

Officials from the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat said the government's flagship programme is expected to create about 30,000 jobs nationwide through industrialisation and private sector investment.

The team also inspected the proposed 500-megawatt thermal Biomass Power Plant project, which is expected to produce renewable energy, organic fertiliser and animal feed. They toured Damanko, Juoli and Opijua to engage residents and assess the availability of water resources for the project.

Chiefs and community members welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the project would create jobs, boost local businesses and drive socio-economic development in Nanumba South.
