Akufo-Addo reinstates Sekondi Takoradi Mayor

President Nana Addo Dankwa has reinstated suspended Sekondi Takoradi Mayor, Abdul Mumin Issah, following recommendation from the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC).

Abdul Mumin Issah was suspended in February this year following allegations of verbally assaulting a police officer and offensive conduct.

However, President Akufo-Addo has recalled him back to his post after a careful consultation and recommendations by the WRCC.


Speaking at a short handing over ceremony, the Western Regional Minister, Mr.Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, who acted as interim MCE commended Mr Mumin Issah for his patience to allow due processes to be followed.


He urged him to continue his good works to ensure massive development in the metropolis.


He thanked the Minister for holding forth and also ensuring development in his absence.
