The project, designed to ease congestion and improve teaching and learning conditions, signals a fresh wave of development across the Ahanta West Municipality.

At the ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ing. Ebenezer Aidoo, described the initiative as a powerful demonstration of the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive development and quality service delivery.

“This event is not merely symbolic; it represents our collective commitment to development, equity, and improving the quality of life of our people,” Hon. Aidoo declared.

The MCE revealed that the project is part of a broader development drive currently underway in Ahanta West, which includes:

Additional classroom blocks at Egyambra

Near-completion of the Busua–Dixcove steel bridge rehabilitation

Construction of two CHPS compounds at Akyernyin and Miemia

Drilling of 20 boreholes across selected communities

The Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, Hon. Mavis Kuukua Bissue, hailed the project as historic, reaffirming government’s commitment to delivering on its promises to the constituency.

Funded by the District Assembly Common Fund, construction is expected to begin next month. Community members have been urged to safeguard the facility once completed to ensure its long-term benefit.
