His tour took him to parts of the East Mamprusi Municipality, where he inspected the Nalerigu Dam, the Nalerigu-Gintiri road, and the Gbintiri-Nasuan road respectively.

In a statement, the Minister says he was distraught by the level of havoc wrecked by the flood, on the road network, farms, houses and other properties.
Mr Zakaria and his entourage made a whistle-stop at Yankazia to interact with some persons from Jimbali who were displaced by the floods, and have been relocated to the Yankazia Community.

‘’We also paid a Courtesy Call on the Gbintiri Naaba at the Naa Zunzong Palace to brief him on our visit.’’ He noted.
He used the medium to urge residents of the North East region that the Government is committed to make the necessary interventions to normalize the situation.
The Minister was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive of East Mamprusi, Hajia Rashida Mahama Po-anaa, the Regional Manager of Feeder Roads, Engineer Meredith Kuunyem and Mr. Justice Awere, Regional Operations Manager for Feeder Roads amongst others.
