New Juaben Municipal Basic Schools Sports Festival Begins

The 16th Annual New Juaben Basic Inter-Zonal Games and Athletics Competition kicked off on Wednesday at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.

The three days event is being competed by basic schools in the New Juaben Municipality who have been grouped into five zones.

In the official opening match for pupils under thirteen years, zone two beat zone four 2-0 on penalty kicks.

In the under fifteen level, zone three beat zone one by 3-0. Osei Mireku member of the Jury of Appeal Committee for the competition said, the standard of the games this year look high and the Municipality hoped to produce some good players for future competitions.
