Atwima Nwabiagya South to set up a Centre to promote development

The Centre for Youth, Technology, Empowerment and Partnership (CYTEP) is to attract and coordinate financial, technical and institutional resources to accelerate the implementation of priority projects, foster innovation and drive all inclusive community development resources in alignment with both the municipal development agenda and the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
The objective is to help improve the livelihoods and living conditions of the over 70,000 residents in the next five years.
The Centre, which is one of the special initiatives of Mr. Wisdom Osei Boamah, the Municipal Chief Executive, will represent strategic advancement architecture and position it as a central hub for resource mobilization, champion innovation-led growth and youth focused socio-economic transformation avenue in the area.
Mr. Boamah in an interview at Nkawie that, the centre would be a useful bridge between the aspirations of the Municipality and the required resources needed to achieve them.
He said over 50 youth and fitness clubs, as well as well as other entities would be united for impactful, measurable and sustainable change that would be delivered through coordinated partnerships and innovative programmes, including sports and wellness clubs, vocational training and digital skills development, to improve the livelihoods of the residents over the stipulated period.
Mr. Boamah appealed to traditional authorities, private sector leaders, donor agencies and community stakeholders to support the initiative to help shape a resilient future of opportunities and prosperity for the people.
He assured the people of transparency, accountability and results-oriented programming to ensure that every partnership, project and investment directly benefited them; especially the youth to enable them contribute their quota for the socio economic development of their communities.
“When our youth are empowered with the right tools and opportunities, the” he stated.
He hinted that a five-member executive committee would be put in place during the up- coming official inauguration of the centre to implement expertise and strategic partnerships, innovation, public engagement, monitoring and evaluation.
This he said would bring the standard of professional, multi-sectorial and accountable operational framework in the activities of the center.
