ABURA:Moree community educated on hand washing.
Water Aid Ghana (WAG), a nongovernmental organization has educated the people of Moree in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district on the importance of hand washing to improve on their health and living conditions.

Water Aid Ghana (WAG), a nongovernmental organization has educated the people of Moree in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district on the importance of hand washing to improve on their health and living conditions.
The exercise which took place in the moree community was organized to mark Global Hand Washing Day on the theme “Prevention is better than cure”.
The programme also included access to good water, sanitation, hygiene and good living.WAG Also used the opportunity to provide customers with clean water and soap for hand washing and increase awareness and understanding about the importance of hand washing as an effective and preventive way of disease control.
The Chief Executive of the district, William Atta Mends, said Ghanaians are lagging behind in the achievement of the target on sanitation, and so with this exercise there is hope that people would change their attitudes towards reducing death among children and the old.
He advised parents to inculcate the habit of hand washing with soap before eating and after using toilet in their children as these could save more lives.
