BEREKUM: MCE confirmed, says road projects would be prioritized

Mr. Opoku Boakye- Yiadom, MCE nominee for the Berekum Municipality has received a 100 percent endorsement from Assembly members in the Municipality to spearhead development in the area.

Mr. Opoku Boakye- Yiadom, MCE nominee for the Berekum Municipality has received a 100 percent endorsement from Assembly members in the Municipality to spearhead development in the area.

He takes over from Mr. Stephen Lord Oppong, former MCE for the area whose mandate was not renewed by the President.

After his endorsement, Mr. Boakye-Yiadom expressed gratitude to the Assembly for throwing their support behind him by voting massively for him. 

He promised to prioritise road projects which were in need of critical attention and also work on improving the level of sanitation within the municipality.

“Berekum is not for NDC or NPP, it is the betterment of berekum that we all need,” he said whiles pleading with the people of Berekum to rally behind him in order to realize the development agenda of the country.
