President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Mr. Modestus Nuworsu as the Chief Executive (DCE) for the Asutifi South District Assembly in in the Brong Ahafo Region to take over the day-to-day administration of the Assembly.

Asutifi South District with its capital Hwidiem was carved from Techiman and forms part of the new districts and municipalities created in the year 2012.

Per the Constitution of the country, Mr. Nuworsu is expected to be endorsed by the legislators of the Assembly to enable him have the full support and barking of the entire members of the Asutifi South District Assembly.

He is among other things expected to further help develop the district to an appreciable level whiles mobilizing funds and channeling them into provision of infrastructure, better sanitation and roads, among others.
