The Tain District Assembly in Brong Ahafo has endorsed Bob Jones Tewiah as DCE.

All the forty eight (48) assembly members voted for the DCE who was re-nominated by the President for consideration.

Dr. Tewiah thanked the members and called for their cooperation to back efforts by the Assembly to develop the area, considered to be one of the most deprived in the country.

The Assembly has already elected Victor Donkor as the Presiding Member.

Meanwhile, some members of the Offinso Municipal Assembly have appealed to President Mahama not to re-nominate the outgoing MCE Amankwaa Kesse.

At a news conference at Offinso, the spokesperson for the members, Augustine Brefo who is also the Assembly Member for Kokote Electoral area accused the MCE of collapsing the mass cocoa spraying exercise in the area.
