ASANTE A C: Assembly confirms MCE

Assembly members who make up legislators for the Asante Akim Central Municipal Assembly have confirmed the President’s nominee Alhaji Braimah Boyong as (MCE) for the area.

Assembly members who make up legislators for the Asante Akim Central Municipal Assembly have confirmed the President’s nominee Alhaji Braimah Boyong as (MCE) for the area.

Out of 37 assembly members, 34 voted in favour of the nominee in an election supervised by the Municipal Electoral Commission.

Prior to the confirmation of the MCE, Mr. George Kyei Baffour was elected Presiding Member after his only contender Mr. Thomas Osei-Bonsu pulled out of the race ahead of the election.

He polled 32 out of 33 valid votes.
