NINGO P: DCE nominee receives 100% approval

The President’s nominee for Ningo Prampram District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Richson Nii Teye Appeyinarh has received endorsement from Assembly members to become the first District Chief Executive for the district.

The President’s nominee for Ningo Prampram District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Richson Nii Teye Appeyinarh has received endorsement from Assembly members to become the first District Chief Executive for the district.

At the assembly’s meeting, the new DCE managed to pull all 32 valid votes cast representing 100% endorsement as the new DCE for the area.

The Ningo Prampram District is one of the 42 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA’s) created by former President, John Evans Atta Mills under the Local Government Act and share borders with  Sege, Shai Osudoku and Kpone Katamanso with Prampram, the hometown of the former President’s wife, Mrs.Dr. Ernestina Naadu Mills as its District capital.

When Ghanadistricts.com visited the assembly on October 15, 2012, various departments of the assembly were busily spotted carrying out their regular activities.

In an interaction with the DCE, he stated that his outfit has already rolled out some programmes and policies under the "Better Ghana” agenda  which will be initiated by the assembly within the shortest possible time.

The DCE also called for support and collaboration from members
of the assembly, adding that this can only help the assembly to realize its objectives of ensuring development since they directly relate with the electorates within the various electoral areas.

Meanwhile, the assembly is also expected to hold its first general meeting tomorrow, 16 October, 2012.
