The Nzema East Municipal Assembly in the Western Region has enlightened the public on some of the completed projects in the area under the “Better Ghana” agenda policy.
Mr. James Ackah Kobbina, the Municipal Chief Executive who made this known to the public, noted that various projects have been completed in less than four years of the Mills led government with others still on-going.
He said the Assembly has already completed works on a 6-unit classroom block for the Axim Community Girl’s Senior High School. The project according to him was aimed at improving the school’s infrastructure deficit as result of the erstwhile administration’s policy to change SHS duration from three to four years.
Mr. Kobbina also disclosed the construction of a 6 unit classroom block at Dominase to enhance teaching and learning after several years of students studying under a dilapidated structure.
Still on education, the MCE again made known of completed nursery school block and other ancillary facilities at Akyinim.
However in other related developments, a 10 seater Aqua-Privy toilet has also been completed at Anto-Apewosika, a suburb within the municipality to improve sanitation in the area.
He said the projects were financed through the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) and District Development Fund (DDF).
