ZABZUGU/TATALE: NADMO, Assembly provide temporal tent for 300 Togo refugees
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Zabzugu/Tatale in the Northern Region, Abdul Wahab Umar, has disclosed that the District Assembly has successfully liaised with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Region to provide temporal tents for the 300 refugees who trooped into the country last Saturday form Togo.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Zabzugu/Tatale in the Northern Region, Abdul Wahab Umar, has disclosed that the District Assembly has successfully liaised with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Region to provide temporal tents for the 300 refugees who trooped into the country last Saturday form Togo.
Sources say the refugee had to troop into Ghana, due to disputes between two tribes in their country Togo.
In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the DCE said the refugees at their arrival were housed in some schools within the district but because schools will resume today they had to liaise with the Northern Regional NADMO coordinator to provide tents for them.
“In order to make life comfortable for them, food, water, mattresses and other vital materials have been provided to make them feel at home,” he added.
Mr. Wahab also declared that although only one person has been confirmed dead; the district is making every possible move to better their health conditions.
