The Ministry of Transport has directed all drivers of vehicles above 3.5 tons Gross Vehicle Weight to carry, fill and complete daily work sheets in the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) approved commercial vehicle log books at all times.

The directive, signed by the sector Minister, Mr Mike Hammah and copied to the Media  in Accra on Monday, said it was in pursuance to section (9) of the NRSC Act 567 of 1999.

It said authorized persons would inspect the vehicle log books to enforce compliance.

It said this was part of a national effort to reduce speeding and fatigue related road traffic crashes.
