The Wasa Amenfi West District Scheme manager of Amenfiman Mutual health Insurance Scheme, George Essem-Koffie, has urged Community Health Insurance Committees in the district to sit up, strategize and propagate the National Health Insurance Scheme’s (NHIS) concept, its designs and structure and its advantages to individuals and the Community to enable the people derive maximum benefit from it.

Speaking at an Orientiation Programme held by the Wasa Amenfi West District National Service Scheme Office for new National service Personnel at Asankrangwa,  Mr. Essem-Koffie said his outfit has designed and instituted handsome awards for members of the Community Health Insurance Committees to inspire and motivate them to intensify the identification of the poor and vulnerable in the Communities and determine their abilities to pay the minimum premiums and also monitor in a transparent manner the collection of premiums by contributors.

Mr. Essem-Koffie appealed to the Service Personnel to patronize the Amenfiman Mutual Health Insurance Scheme in order to avoid self medication and thereby contribute positively to Community development.

The Acting District director of the National Service Scheme Mr. Shadrack Badu assured the personnel that all the necessary logistics would be given to them to enable them to unearth their skills and potentials to deliver.

Mr. Badu however warned that Service Personnel would have themselves to blame if they indulge in chieftaincy disputes or get caught in sexual misconduct.
