Shai-Osudoku DCE Distributes 1,929 Furniture to Improve Learning Conditions
The Shai-Osudoku District Assembly has taken a significant step toward enhancing education delivery, as the District Chief Executive, Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, donates 1,929 pieces of school furniture to selected institutions across the district.

The distribution includes 80 teachers’ tables and chairs, 253 desks for Junior High Schools (JHS), 161 desks for primary schools, 205 desks for Kindergarten (KG) pupils, and an additional 1,230 KG chairs and tables. The initiative is aimed at improving teaching and learning conditions while reducing classroom congestion.
Speaking during a brief presentation ceremony, Hon. Dordoe reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to promoting quality education, emphasizing that providing adequate furniture remains essential to creating a conducive learning environment.
He further urged the District Education Directorate to ensure proper maintenance and handling of the items to guarantee their durability and long-term benefit to pupils.
The District Education Director, Zilla Nyakoh, expressed gratitude to the DCE and his management team for the intervention. She assured that the furniture would be properly handled and safely delivered to the beneficiary schools.
The intervention is expected to significantly enhance classroom comfort and support effective teaching and learning across the district, marking yet another milestone in the Assembly’s efforts to strengthen the education sector.
