From December 4 to December 21, 2025, the enclave will host a series of exciting activities, including street carnivals, pageant shows, and sports events.

Mr Nyarko Ampem, in an urgent statement read on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday, said those festivities were designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the area while providing memorable experiences for families, visitors, and diasporans returning home for the Christmas season.

Mr. Nyarko Ampem emphasised that the celebrations would not only provide fun and relaxation but also serve as a platform to market Ghana’s tourism potential.

He noted that Akosombo and Asuogyaman, with their scenic landscapes and cultural vibrancy, were ideal destinations for family vacations, mentorship programmes, and cultural immersion.

“We are inviting Ghanaians and our brothers and sisters in the diaspora to join us in celebrating the season here in Asuogyaman. It is a time to enjoy, to learn, and to showcase the beauty of Ghana to the world,” Mr. Nyarko Ampem said.

The initiative, he said, was expected to boost tourism in the Eastern Region, strengthen community bonds, and highlight Ghana as a premier destination for cultural and festive experiences during the Christmas period.
