The MCE, Mr. Bashiru Mohammed Kamara said the Assembly nearly lost the opportunity of benefitting from the ongoing hospital project due to challenges with securing land. However, their resolve and determination has paid off as there is visible sign of the project and people in the municipality can’t wait for its completion and inauguration.

He asserts that having a 100-bed Municipal hospital is no mean achievement as it would go a long way to impact the wellbeing of residents especially as it places health delivery at their doorsteps.

He commended every individual for reasoning with authorities despite the initial resistance and considered the general good of the larger population for this project to see the light of day.

When Ghanadistricts.com visited the project site at Kokompe, the contractor confirmed that all the structures have been put up with roofing and plastering currently ongoing.

They assured the project would be completed within the given time schedule which is somewhere next year.
