Atiwa West: Chief Justice commissions Circuit Court at Kwabeng

His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah, the Chief Justice of Ghana has commissioned an ultra-modern circuit court at Kwabeng in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region.

The facility which is to enhance effective delivery of justice was funded through the District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF)

The Chief Justice, in an address commended the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the immense investment towards the delivery of justice in the country, especially in the area of infrastructure.
 

He said the court was purposefully designed to offer the staff a good working environment while serving the justice needs of their compatriots in a more congenial environment.

He appealed to the Judicial Service staff in particular, and other stakeholders including the district assembly to take key interest in the maintenance of the facility.


The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong and the Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Kwasi Amoako Attah took turns to thank the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the Chief Justice for the facility which has come to replace an old dilapidated magistrate court.

The District Chief Executive for Atiwa West, Mr. Seth Asante who was full of praise to the government, indicated that the edifice among other things would assist the assembly in discharging its mandate of promoting justice in the district.


He further assured the Chief Justice of the assembly’s commitment to put in place the needed measures to ensure proper maintenance of the facility for the delivery of quality justice in the district.

Among the dignitaries who graced the event were Justice Baffoe Bonney, Supreme Court Judge, and the queen mother of Akim Bomaa, Dr. Nana Boatemaa Korama, and the queen mother for Abomosu, Nana Konadu Kontie II.
