MCE preaches against smuggling of agric inputs

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ejura Sekyedumase, Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba has advised retailers and distributors to distance themselves from any act of smuggling of inputs meant for successful implementation of government’s agriculture programmes

The MCE gave the advice when he paid a working visit to over 10 retailers and distributors of inputs for the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) program in the Municipality.

The tour was to ascertain how the 50 percent government subsidy on distribution of improved seeds, fertilizer and free extension services to farmers was faring in the Municipality.



He urged them to support government to achieve results with the proggrame which is ensure food security and create more jobs for the people.

The MCE was accompanied by the Director of Agric. Mr Obrien, Agric Sub-Committee Chairman, Deputy Coordinating Director, Mr Ayaba Al-Aziz Musah ,the Presiding Member for the Assembly other staff of the Assembly.
