According to him, the distribution is in fulfillment of a promise he made to the Assembly members after his appointment and subsequent confirmation as Mayor for Kumasi.

“Since I promised the Assembly members when I took over as Mayor to secure them street bulbs, I’ve been working tirelessly to fulfill the promise and I thank the Almighty that today we are seeing this”, he added.

He reiterated that, the bulbs will beef up security by protecting lives and properties in the Garden city of the country, and therefore called on beneficiaries to take steps to ensure that the bulbs are distributed accordingly.

He urged the Assembly members to replace all dysfunctional street bulbs in their electoral areas as well as flashpoints and further charged them to install the lights at vantage points in order to benefit all the communities.
