Mensin Gold Bibiani Limited donates relief items to churches
Mensin Gold Bibiani Limited (MGBL) through the Resolute Foundation Advisory Panel (RFAP) has donated relief items to some identifiable groups in Bibiani Municipality to fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic even though the area has not recorded any case of COVID 19 as at the time of reporting.

The items included; thirty-three (33) sets of handwashing sanitizers, thirty-six pieces of tissue towel and two boxes of carbolic soap to the Local Council of Churches in Bibiani for onward distribution at vantage points across the township.
At a short ceremony to present the items, the General Manager of Mensin Gold Bibiani Limited, Mr. Bennett Kunkyebe revealed that the donation forms part of Mensin’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (and in furtherance of the community health pillar of the RFAP) within the communities in which the Company operates and to protect them from the deadly coronavirus so that they can be sure of their safety.
The company donated the above-mentioned Items in support of the measures put in place by the Government of Ghana through the appropriate state agencies to curb the spread of the COVID 19 in the Country.
The donation was presented by the General Manager of Mensin Gold with assistance by the RFAP Chairman, to the Chairman of the Local Council of Churches in Bibiani.
Present were representatives of the Municipal Chief Executive for and the District Director of the Ghana Health Services Bibiani Municipality, members of the Local Council of Churches in Bibiani and some community leaders.
On her part, Miss Lucy Aquah, the representative of the District Director of Ghana Health Services, Bibiani sensitized the gathering on some precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
She, therefore, tasked the audiences to adhere strictly to the laid down protocols by the government such as regular washing of hands, avoid crowded, avoiding of handshaking, using a tissue to cover your mouth when coughing, cover your nose sneezing and observing of social distancing so as to help combat the spread of the COVID 19.
The Chairman for the Local Council of Churches, Rev. P.K Yenkyiren who received the items on behalf of the Churches in Bibiani commended the management Mensin Gold and RFAP for their tremendous.
He appealed to the authorities of the Municipal Assembly should put more efforts in order to improve upon the extent of public education on the COVID 19 fight.
