45 Participants Trained with Baking Employable Skills

The participants were trained in basic Baking and confectionary production of Meat pie, Chips, Togbee, Bread, Cake, Spring Roll, Doughnut and Fried meat pie among others.
The ten (10) day training programme which began on 26th May and ended on the 9th June, 2017 had trained 45 participants comprising 44 females and 1 male.
The Business Development officer at the Business Advisory Centre (BAC) office, Mrs. Abigail Owusu, at the closing ceremony implored the participants to take the skills acquired seriously she also advised them to quickly get into production in order to stand the chance to qualify for more goodies from the Rural Enterprise Programme (REP).
She asked them to register their businesses and keep proper records just as they had been taught through the training. Mrs. Owusu therefore, appealed to them to form groups that would qualify them for loans to expand their businesses.
Mrs. Owusu however, commended the participants for their active participation and expressed the hope that the programme would impact positively in their livelihood “saying the ultimate goal of National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), the REP, and the Bosome Freho District Assembly, is to alleviate poverty especially among the entrepreneurial poor”.
Miss Charlotte Osei Tutu of Charlotte kitchen Kumasi, who was the resource person, entreated the participants to make good use of the training to facilitate their businesses and related activities in order to drive the maximum benefits that would reflect in their businesses.
