OFFINSO N: DCE calls for massive 'YES' vote

The District Chief Executive for Offinso North in the Ashanti Region Hon. David Kwasi Asare has advocated for a massive ‘YES’ vote in support of the upcoming referendum to elect the various metropolitan, municipal and district chief executives and partisan politics at the local level elections.

The DCE stated that "pushing the agenda of the referendum would help enhance and strengthen the decentralization process of governance in the country particularly at the local level”.

Mr. Asare said this when he inaugurated a 10-member district campaign team to do door to door campaign to improve the percentage turn out of voters and subsequently get a very high percentage voting to get the policy through.

The DCE appealed to the good people of the area and indeed the entire Ghanaian citizen's to massively vote ‘Yes’ for the political parties to participate in the election of MMDCEs in their various constituencies to help strengthen active political inclusiveness in the country.

Mr. Asare further added that "the election of MMDCEs will again improve accountability and ensure the fastest growing of the District level's interns of infrastructural advancement".



He, therefore, used the occasion to advise voters to take advantage of the district level elections to vote for hardworking Assembly members Chairs and Unit Committee members to help drive the development of the district in nation-building.

Mr. Asare, therefore, urged people to be ambassadors of disseminating information and encourage eligible voters to come out in their numbers to vote massively during the referendum day slated 17, December this year.

The Chairman for the occasion, Nana Kofi Aboagye II, who is also the Chief of Asempanaye, appealed to the DCE and the assembly to go the extra mile to provide all the logistics that would go a long way to support the campaign team to do a good job to ensure a successful exercise.
