Ashanti Regional Minister grateful to Japanese Govt for support

Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah has commended the Japanese Government for their support in areas of education, health, provision of pipe borne water among others that aids nation building.

At a grand durbar held at Hamidu, a farming community in the Sekyere Afram Plains District of Ashanti during the commissioning of a health centre funded by Japan government, the Minister underscore the importance of quality health delivery to every society since it is directly linked to productivity.

The project was funded by Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) at the cost of $89,395 with nurses quarters and borehole.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Osei Mensah noted that the people of Hamidu had to endure long distance travels on roads which are in bad shape in order to receive basic healthcare, adding that, if by God’s grace and they are blessed with this ultra-modern Hospital then they should be grateful.

Mr.  Simon Osei Mensah assured the Sekyere Afram Plains district of a new modern hospital since the district lacks many infrastructure and is the most deprived districts in the Ashanti Region.

Present at the inauguration were, His Excellency Karou Yoshimura- Japan Ambassador to Ghana, Hon Joseph Owusu DCE for Sekyere Afram Plains, Mr. Alexander Adomako- MP for Sekyere Afram Plains, Nana Dankwa Dwubi Siaw II (Drobonsohene), Mr Johnson Nyarko- District Coordinating Director, Mr Ofosu Kwabi - District Health Director and other assembly staff.
