More than ten market women and other business men were affected during the exercise and items such as canned drinks, food stuff and mobile phone accessories running into thousands of Ghana cedis confiscated for flouting the social distancing.
He revealed that, the monitoring team would extend the exercise to areas like Tanoso, Anhwiaso, Awaso, and Sefwi Bekwi among others to enforce the use of nose mask, hand washing under running water and physical distancing.
He was hopeful that the regular visit to the various market places within the municipality would go a long way to compel the market women to observe the laid down protocols to protect themselves form COVID-19.
