KMA: Assembly to partner stakeholders to fight the spread of Covid 19 - Mayor
The Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Osei Assibey Antwi has assured residents that the Assembly will partner all stakeholders and fight to minimize the dreadful impact of COVID 19 in the metropolis.

He gave the assurance when together with the Metropolitan Health Director, Mrs. Mavis Omari-Sasu and the Chairman of the Metropolitan Health Committee Otumfuo's Manwerehene, Baffour Brantuo Hyiaman visited the various Health Facilities within the Metropolis and Kejetia market to assess the preparedness and precautionary measures put in place to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
He urged the people to practice regular and effective hand washing and ensure clean environments at their homes, markets and workplaces.
The Metropolitan Health Director, Mrs. Mavis Omari-Sasu outlined the readiness of the health directorate and how to manage cases of the virus at any particular time. She assured that there are skilled personnel to deal with the outbreak in the metropolis if the need arises.
She, however, appealed to authorities to augment the efforts of the health service by providing some of the necessary equipment needed to manage and control the disease and also urged the public to report persons who exhibit symptoms similar to the coronavirus to the nearest health facility for immediate medical attention.
