JASIKAN : Ultra modern hospital in high demand

medical supplies
The Presiding Member of the Jasikan District, Hon. Oscar Jack Mensah has appealed to government to provide the district with an ultra –modern hospital, capable of solving the health needs of the people.

He said, though the district has two hospitals, one being a mission hospital and the newly upgraded district hospital, their status are not the best, considering logistical constraints and none availability of  high standard equipment.

In an interview, he suggested that government furnishes the existing hospitals with equipment and logistics to raise its standard to ultra modern standard to cater for those in the district and its environs.

Mr. Oscar Mensah’s is also worried about the large number of patients doctors in the two hospitals have to attend to, describing as "two wide".

“The national health Insurance scheme has increased attendance yet the district hospital has only one doctor. We need more doctors if health delivery is to be improved”, he said.

Further, he said the assembly has constructed a 600 million (GH¢ 60,000) doctors bungalow and also procured a standby generator at 60million (GH¢6,000) for the district hospital.
