GOMOA W: DCE laments over poor patient-health officials’ relationship

The Chief Executive for Gomoa West District Assembly, Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, has lamented on the poor patient and health officials’ relationship at the various health centers, saying recovery for some patients often linger due to frequent poor treatment from some health worker.
According to him some patients are more likely to recovering soon from their illness if care and compassion are shown to them whiles still on their sick bed and hence called on health workers to be prudent in discharging their duties.
The DCE who was speaking at the launching of the "World Day of the Sick" held at Apam also noted that government was committed to improving the health of the ordinary Ghanaian by bringing quality health care closer to their door-steps hence the construction of various health centers and Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds in most communities within the country.
He said the health Ghanaian had been one of the major priorities of this NDC administration and expressed confidence that government’s objectives would be achieved in the near future.
Mr.Aidoo-Mensah also noted that his outfit was committed in collaborating with the government to deliver the best of health care in the entire district.
