TECHIMAN: New B/A Regional Minister pays courtesy call on chiefs
Nana Owusu Gyare II, Akwamuhene of the Techiman Traditional Area, has appealed to the Regional Minister and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to team-up and find solution to the unemployment situation facing the youth in the Region.
He said the exodus of the youth particularly in the Brong-Ahafo Region to Libya through the desert was disastrous as many of them die.
Nana Owusu Gyare made the call when the new Regional Minister, Mr. Eric Opoku, paid a curtsey call on the chiefs and people of Techiman at Ohene Ameyaw palace to officially introduce himself to the chiefs.
He commended the minister on his appointment and expressed the hope that the Region would strive for meaningful development in all sectors especially the development of Techiman Central Market.
Mr. Opoku said the government it would continue to develop the many needs of Techiman especially the Techiman Central Market and appealed to the chiefs and people to continue to maintain the peace.
Mr. Alex Kofi Kyeremeh and Mr. Adjei Mensah members of parliament for Techiman North and Techiman South respectively pledged to work together for the total development of the Municipality.
