KETU N:Ahiayiborkope footbridge to be reconstructed soon

Authorities at the Ketu North District in the Volta Region have shown determination to end the annual cut-off suffered by residents in and around Ahiayiborkope community.

Every rainy season comes with mix feelings for residents of Ahiayiborkope as in one breath the rain is a boost to cultivation of crops as the people are mainly farmers. The other side however is that, their accessibility to other communities is seriously hindered by flooding, a situation which affect their day to day operations more seriously, and students who have to cross everyday to nearby Zomayi to attend school.

There is however, hope in sight as the assembly through its share of the district development facility (DDF) has awarded rehabilitation of the footbridge connecting Zomayi to Ahiayiborkorpe on contract. Its completion would ensure easy movement of goods and services as well as people at all times.
