TARKWA: GHÂ¢ 715,000.00 small town water project commisioned

The Government of Ghana with support from the World Bank has completed a GH¢ 715,000.00 small town water project at Tarkwa Nsuaem and its surrounding communities.
The project which was commissioned at Nsuaem was however aimed at expanding water and sanitation in rural and small town communities as well as to strengthen the local capacity to manage rural and small town water delivery.
At a short ceremony held, the Chief Executive for Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, Mrs. Christina Kobbinah noted that two towns will benefit from the project whiles 20 additional boreholes will be constructed in various communities within the municipality.
She appealed to the stakeholders to ensure regular and proper maintenance of the facility at all time to prolong the life of the facility.
